Role positioning and objectives: 

The role is responsible for developing a business development strategy, focused on financial gain, arranging business development meetings with prospective clients and apply an effective sales strategy. The target is to drive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with clients.

Essential experience, skills and knowledge:
  • Identify and research potential new business ventures, such as strategies to expand into existing markets or new markets, growth sectors, customers, partners, and trends.
  • Seek out the appropriate contact in an organization.
  • Generate leads and cold call prospective customers.
  • Meet with customers/clients face to face or over the phone
  • Maintain and grow connections with customers and clients.
  • Understanding your consumers’ needs and being able to effectively respond with a strategy to meet them.
  • Think strategically to advance and enhance the company by creating goals and taking into account the wider picture.
  • Work strategically, doing the necessary planning to put operational improvements into place.
  • Create customer contracts; depending on the size of the business, this activity might be handled by someone else or less formal agreements.
  • Ensure staff are on board throughout the organization, and understand the need for change and what is required of them
  • Discuss promotional strategy and activities with the marketing department.
  • As needed, communicate with the finance team, warehousing, and logistics departments.
  • Look for ways to improve the way the business operates.
Essential experience, skills and knowledge:
  • At least 2 years of experience in a related outside sales/new business development role
  • Experience in the staffing industry before is preferred
  • Must have outstanding relationship-building skills
  • Proven track record of generating leads and guiding prospects through the sales process
  • Exceptional computer skills and a willingness to use technology as a major component of your selling function are required.
  • Ability to keep track of information, make notes, and achieve set KPIs.
  • Professional communication in both writing and speaking.
  • Capacity to work effectively with your local team and management
